Philosophy

Art: The process of deliberately arranging elements in a way to affect the senses and emotions. It encompasses a diverse range of human activities, creations, and modes of expression.

We treat each event or project like a perfectly crafted piece of art. No two are the same and they are customized specifically to the client’s wants, needs, and specifications.

Every project has a personal approach, and we always try to think out of the box while pushing the creative envelope.

It was New Year’s Eve on the year of a milestone birthday. As the clock struck midnight my mind was filled with thoughts for the upcoming year. I was extremely fortunate in my career to work for some of the greatest luxury brands in the marketing, events, and public relations arena.

Calvin Klein, Escada, Neiman Marcus, Palm Beach jewelry designer, Laura Munder and legendary Chef Daniel Boulud were names that filled my resume. My question was, “where do I go from here after working with these international legends?”

I decided it was time to start my own company and apply the priceless knowledge, skills, and hands on experience I acquired in the prior years to a business that would now bear my own name.

At first I started with what I knew the best, a marketing, events, and public relations company. After that was successfully established it was time to embark on my next project.

I took a trip to Tuscany to start writing a tell-all book about my life in the fashion business filled with the colorful characters I met along my journey. The book did not happen, however a new business idea was developed.

The moment I stepped off the plan in Tuscany I fell in love for the second time in my life. The first time was when I opened the door for my blind date and on the other side found a beautiful man who would one day become my husband.

This time behind the door I found a beautiful country rich with culture, food, art, history, but most importantly people with hearts filled with kindness, passion, and a love for life.

I knew this magical land could serve as the ultimate canvas to create a masterpiece symbolizing the art of love. A piece of history in the making… a wedding. After months of research Tuscan Weddings was born. In addition, so were the makings of a new book.

My new title in Florence became the “blond American wedding planner”. I am now proud to say that after 6 years I am called by my given name.

Through my frequent trips to Italy, I was so very blessed to develop friendships with people who showed me Tuscany through their eyes. I was exposed to experiences and places that one does not necessarily find while searching the Internet.

After this realization I wanted to provide people with a trip of a lifetime and Italian Journeys became a reality.

These three businesses may seem so diverse, however they are not, they do have a common denominator.

It may be putting on a charity event which raises money for a worthy cause, planning a surprise themed birthday party, providing a new logo and business card, creating a strong following and presence on social media, planning a fairly tale wedding in Tuscany, or organizing trips to Italy with one of a kind experiences.

The common bond for the all above is that they create smiles on faces, create memoires and bring happiness into people’s lives.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Tara Coppola Fontana and I turn dreams into realities.
